RecordFusion Announces Opening of Operations in New Castle, PA Bringing Numerous Job Opportunities to Lawrence County

NEW CASTLE, PA - December 19, 2005 — RecordFusion, an end-to-end record management services company, is opening their headquarters in a refurbished 40,000 square foot building in downtown New Castle. With the opening of this facility to service government and commercial clients, RecordFusion will be hiring several hundred employees as they ramp up operations beginning in 2006 and throughout the next three years.

To assist in hiring and training these new employees, the state of Pennsylvania awarded RecordFusion a $500,000 economic development assistance package that will help the company achieve its goals. The package includes job creation tax credits and job training assistance, so that RecordFusion can call upon and train local resources from Lawrence County.

During the incorporation phase, RecordFusion did debate as to where they should establish their headquarters, but the Economic Development Team encouraged RecordFusion to consider New Castle for the many benefits that RecordFusion could bring to the area including positively impacting the current 9% unemployment rate in Lawrence County, complementing the current renovation initiative underway in the downtown area, and improving the local tax base and current economy.

"The opening of our operations complements Pennsylvania’s focus of fostering economic development to sustain and grow economies in suburban and rural areas," says Michael E.
